• Brewer's Hop

an all purpose soap made with local Ithaca Brewery seasonal hoppy beer (at the moment I'm using Ground Break). The sugars in beer are a natural source of glycolic acid, which is a powerful antioxidant.

Hops have been used in brewing since the ninth century. Initially they were used widely as a preservative for beer. The brewers recognized that if they included hops, the beer lasted longer. The properties and benefits of hops become a skin blessing when used as the base for soap. Hops is known as a relaxing herb. Other benefits to hops: soothes irritated skin; contains polyphenols thought to account for its anti-bacterial and preservative effects (beer's long life) and skin-softening amino acids.

Note that all alcohol and carbonation is removed from the brew before saponification.

• half and half

A nice moisturizing bar with the benefits of wheat germ and castor oils. Coffee has excellent skin toning benefits and ground coffee acts as a natural exfoliant. It helps to leave the skin smooth, acne free and revitalized. Plus, coffee is deodorizing and coffee soap can remove smells making it a perfect ingredient in a kitchen soap.

• 'Allo 'Allo

my most moisturizing bar soap with both Shea butter and aloe vera gel extract. No goat's milk in this bar but it does have lard to add even more moisturizing qualities. This would be a good soap for inflamed skin, like eczema or a sunburn.

The soap is named in honor of a great English comedy called 'Allo 'Allo set in second world war France - and yes, I have had people (mostly Europeans) recognize the name!

a wonderful shampoo bar which will make your hair feel pampered and soft - due to the beer and apple cider vinegar! This shampoo bar is moisturizing and good for dry to normal hair.

• pumpkin patch

bright orange soap made with real pie pumpkin puree! The color of the soap comes from the combined pumpkin orange and the unrefined palm oil fruit. It's a nice all around soap with a lot of the added health benefits of pumpkin: it's chock full of the antioxidant beta-carotene!

• moroccan mint

great smelling and smooth feeling moisturizing soap with sunflower and grape seed oils. The mint smell comes from mint infused tea, freshly picked from our herb gardens, and dried mint leaves. Our botanicals are dried within a day of good sun with our home made solar dryer!
